- The Story of Rhonda Martin -

Rhonda had an amazing upbringing within a family of entrepreneurs with a wealth of history.  Continuing this family trait, Rhonda has now opened this beautiful Bridal Boutique – a treasure trove of fashion for the area that was greatly needed.  Rhonda’s most recent history is her great, great....grandfather sent by King John to sail around what is now known as the ‘Cape of Good Hope’ and was originally named by her great, great....grandfather as ‘the Cape of Storms’ in 1470’s.  This is one of many of his and his brother’s feats.

Rhonda’s great grandfather and his two brother’s, built their own boat and left Spain to sail to Australia.  Once in Australia they started the ‘River-Boat Postman’ on the Hawkesbury River which is still operating today.  This boating lifestyle continued through the family and finished with Rhonda’s father. Rhonda’s great grandfather also commenced with the first school bus run in Brooklyn after discovering the niche. He had many other fascinating adventures.  Rhonda also enjoyed some time on the Hawkesbury River.  Growing up in Bobbin Head, Rhonda met many fascinating and famous people where she developed a rapport with people from all walks of life.  This opened her worldly knowledge.  Rhonda has also worked on an impressive boat on the Hawkesbury River and Sydney Harbour catering for exclusive five star functions for people she won’t name! During her time at a former business, Rhonda discovered there was a market for Bridal and Formal Wear in the Hornsby District.  Rhonda has certainly inherited the entrepreneurial trait and is now operating the most exquisite Bridal Salon on the Far Upper North Shore. Rhonda is now in association with people such as Henry Roth – famously known for his ‘Rock Your Frock’ wear and ‘Project Runway’ and Bethany Joy up and coming Fashion Designer.
